Scott Schweizer

Scott Schweizer

“Scottie” Schweizer grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where his love for the game was shaped on the fields of Lincoln High School. A four-year varsity player and two-time First Team All-Public selection, Scott brought tenacity, heart, and leadership to every match. That same energy followed him into coaching—a path he’s been on for nearly 20 years, leading teams at Lansing Youth Organization, Danubia Soccer Club, and Philadelphia Soccer Club (PSC). He also served as player-coach for the Philadelphia Police men’s travel team, balancing discipline and passion equally.

Scott joined HVAA in 2022 and currently serves as head coach of the 2008 Sting and 2010 Storm boys teams. He also coaches alongside his son, Damian, as assistant for the 2011 Hornets and 2007 Hurricanes boys teams—a shared family legacy that continues to shape HVAA from the sidelines. Beyond the club, he leads the junior varsity boys soccer program at Lower Moreland High School. What sets Scott apart isn’t just his experience. His grit, care, and unwavering belief in every athlete he coaches are inspiring. He’s the kind of coach who shows up early, stays late, and always finds a way to motivate, whether they’re in the starting lineup or working their way back from injury. Scott is launching Next Play, a powerful new HVAA initiative designed to support injured athletes through their physical, mental, and emotional recovery so no player feels left behind. In 2025, Scott was named HVAA’s Soccer Operations Director, a role in which his attention to detail, operational know-how, and deep-rooted love for the game are already driving positive change across the club. Scott is the steady force behind the scenes and the heart on the field. With his leadership, HVAA is inspired, stronger, and ready for what’s next.
