Frank Wolfgang

Frank has been a dedicated HVAA coach for over 13 years, serving both our in-house and travel programs. A Philadelphia native, Frank grew up playing hockey and practicing martial arts. Before his soccer coaching career, he earned a 3rd-degree black belt in Chinese Kenpo and a 1st-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, later opening his own martial arts studio where he taught students ages 3 to 70 for nearly three decades. After moving from Fox Chase to HVAA in 2007, Frank began coaching in-house soccer and quickly became a staple in our travel program, coaching multiple girls’ teams from U9 to U18. He was recognized as HVAA’s Volunteer of the Year in 2015. He also served as an assistant coach for the Lower Moreland High School girl's team from 2014 to 2018. He leads the 2009 HVAA Lightning, and in 2025, he also took on coaching duties for the HVAA 2012 Pride girls team. Frank holds a USYS “E” License, National “D” License, and has been an EPYSA trainer since 2016, working with young players and the U11/U12 Select Teams. In 2024, he guided his 2009 Lightning team to the USYS National President’s Cup in Wichita, KS.  Most recently, Frank was appointed Director for HVAA’s GA Aspire program, where he will bring his unmatched passion, experience, and mentorship to lead our girls into a league that reflects HVAA’s values and empowers the next generation of female athletes.
