Devon Swaim

Devon Swaim has coached and played at all levels of soccer. Having been the Academy Director and the girls' Youth Director of Coaching at FC Bucks for the past four years, Swaim has had success developing teams at the collegiate and elite club levels for years. Prior to helping build the program at Brynn Mawr College, Swaim coached at Villanova University, Bucks Co. Comm. College, and her alma-mater, Neshaminy High School. She has coached EPYSA ODP teams since 2018 and won the 2019 Regional Championship with her 2002 PA East ODP team. Before joining the staff at FC Bucks, Coach Dev was the Academy Director for Lower Merion SC, having won the 2017 LMSC Coach of the Year, and was a staff coach at UGH prior to that.

Swaim began her college career playing at the University of Tennessee. In three years playing for the Volunteers, she helped lead the team to multiple NCAA Top 10 rankings and two NCAA Tournament berths, with one resulting in a Sweet 16 appearance. After the 2007 campaign, her redshirt freshman year, Swaim was named to the SEC All-Freshman team. In 2008, she and the Lady Vols won the "Triple Crown"- an SEC East division title, the regular season title, and the SEC Conference Championship. Swaim then transferred closer to home and continued her playing career at West Chester University. Her overall record as a Golden Ram is 37-3-5, winning two PSAC championships and earning two NCAA tournament berths. As a result of her efforts, Swaim was named to the NSCAA All-Region team in 2011. Growing up, Swaim played club soccer for the F.C. Pennsylvania Strikers. She was in and out of U.S. Youth National team camps- playing with the likes of Tobin Heath, Alyssa Naeher, and Kelly O'Hara- and was a mainstay on the Region 1 and EPYSA State teams. She played for three years at Neshaminy High School, picked up Suburban One League Player of the Year honors in 2006, and was named to the all-state, all-region, and all-league teams. She was also named to the NSCAA/Adidas High School Regional All-American and the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association (PSCA) All-State Teams in 2004. She also snagged Philadelphia Inquirer Rookie of the Year accolades in 2003. Devon currently holds United Soccer Coaches Association certifications and USSF coaching and refereeing licenses. She is also wrapping up her first season as a member of the super successful Women's Majors team, HVAA Pride.
